Perché, o stelle del cielo,

non apparite ancora?

Sol nelle ombre tue,

o notte, si nasconde

lo spirito dei santi

e l’anima dei buoni.

 

 

FRAGILITÀ

Bendato prima d’essere,

spiccano sul tuo stendardo

i segni affondati da tante

lacrime:

eredità

di un antico inganno.

 

 

SPERANZE

Disilluso,

fisso nel barlume

il riverbero delle trasudate allegrezze

ormai sfumate vanità.

E come una cosa dimenticata

mi tengo a questo lampo di vita

che ha l’insidia nascosta nel tabarro.

Ma oltre il limbo

di questa ventura

ho intravisto il mistero

di accese luminosità

e un buio sgomento,

fiducioso ho teso la mano.

do you not yet appear?

Only in your shadows,

o night, are hidden

the spirit of the saints

and the soul of the righteous.

 

 

FRAGILITY

Bandaged before coming into being,

on your banner stand out

the signs sunk by so many

tears:

legacy

of an ancient deception.

 

 

HOPES

Disillusioned,

fixed in the gleam

the reverberation of the oozing joys

now dissolved vanities.

And like a forgotten thing

I hold on to this flash of life

which has the snare concealed within its cloak.

But beyond the limbo

of this chance

I have caught a glimpse of the mystery

of glowing luminosities

and a dark dismay,

trusting I extended my hand.
